Portraits
Over a period of six or seven years, I painted only portraits, mostly of fellow artists and dancers. These large-scale watercolours are painted in subtle tones of brown and gray highlighted with touches of colour. The later portraits in oil are more colourful but still present my personal interpretation of the subject’s personality.
