Born in the Pacific Northwest, I made my way east and settled in Montreal. I spent my childhood revelling in nature, the vast array of flowers and trees, the coastline and mountains of Oregon. I miss it still and so try to capture the essence of natural surroundings in my work.
A photographer turned painter, I have naturally sought to create realistic images and the techniques that satisfy this need. Those that serve me best are watercolours on paper or claybord and oil and oil pastels on canvas or wood panel.
